What is the point of the college application? If you’ve started taking care of your applications this may be described as a question you’ve asked your self either out of reflection or perhaps frustration. We ask you for the application because you want to reach know you and obtain a sense of the manner in which you may flourish academically and really at USC. We do not have enough time to sit down and talk to every applicant one on one so you are asked by us to give us many different information to test and gain an awareness of who you’re. As you complete your applications, ask yourselves if the content reflects who you are, not just being a student but additionally as a person.
Composing a personal statement is stressful. Up until this point, we’m guessing most high school students have actually only written academic papers. You’ve been expected to evaluate works of fiction, economic trends, historic events, etc. but likely nobody has sat you down and asked you to write on yourself. Given the goal is to give admission counselors an expression of your self, be authentic and genuine in tone and content. Write about things that are important to you. This will be mostly for sophomores and juniors, as seniors have obviously already perfected and written their essays (right!?).
