It’s hard to believe that the holidays were just a couple of weeks that are short! I happened to be fortunate enough to spend time at home in Chicago and even saw some snowfall. A lot of my colleagues also traveled with other parts of California or the nation with this break for some time that is well-deserved family and friends.

Us continued to read applications when we weren’t enjoying the holidays, however, many of. After reading over 800 applications, I’ve realized that while there are trends in applications every year, they have a tendency to vary from 12 months to year. I have been impressed with students taking the effort to have international experiences in their high school years, whether it is by happening a service journey abroad as well as investing a whole semester or year studying in a foreign country. Another remarkable feat some students have achieved is starting their businesses or businesses. Many students seem to be true self-starters, whether they own their own landscaping company or founding a nonprofit. We never cease to be wowed by the accomplishments of applicants before they’ve also graduated school that is high.

Although it seems like I’ve read applications that are many there are numerous more to learn and I’m sure many other styles we’ll find. In each application, i am excited to observe the applicant reveals their individuality. Whatever your story may be, we’re looking forward to getting to learn you.
